After being back in panama for the last 2 years I've been all over the zone and I'll have to be honest with you guys...it hurts!! I wish I could go back!! We're having some beautiful weather here, with the sun shinning
brightly and a cool norterly breeze blowing. Great day to
fly a kite. Days like these remind me of Panama. In Cocoli
just where Cocoli grade school use to be off Tamarind Ave.
was a sharp drop off. We use to get a good run toward the flag
pole and the kite would soar up very nicely. It would stay
up for hours. We tie it down pull out a jelly & peanut butter
sandwich, have lunch and wash it all down with an ice cold RC.
Yes, those were the days. Pray you all had a great Easter!
Nature has put on its best Easter dress with most flowers
now in blown in this part of the State. But I still miss
Easter's past when we went to Santa Clara for the long
weekend. Well, at least with this site, I can escape to
Panama each time I get the urge to dream. Happy Easter everybody.

It's nice to read all the comments, but I have noticed there are very, very few from my graduating class. Would love to hear from old friends! My sister, Marge (Ward) Broadway (redhat@webtv.net) lives about a mile from me. I am also married to Phil Rogers (Balboa) who would have graduated BHS '67, except that his family left the CZ in l965. He lived near the Balboa Clubhouse and had 3 brothers, Howard (deceased), Michael, and Kenneth...plus a younger sister, Vivian. I know he would enjoy hearing from old friends too. I sure miss Panama but in my heart, it will always be "home" to me.

Hello to all the select few who had the chance to be a part of the Real World. Matt, great page man. Can we say "Homesick," class? Eventhough I was born and raised there I am extremely grateful for what little time I had in Panama, and, needless to say, would jump at the chance of having it to do all over again. On the Atlantic side only, though. Go Tigers! Viva Gatun! No lines, no heat, no traffic! Your Pacific side can't hang wit dat for not eben one minute, dem. And all you Provincia Ocho people does know it! You can talk until you head does burst, not gwan do a ras bit of good. All that jivin does vex me up. Y'all jus make excuse for your side! jejejeje. All kidding aside, Panama is Panama is Panama, no matter how you look at it. Anyone who was there, no matter the year, knows what I mean. Panama consists of a number of necessary elements that, combined, create the aura and ambiance that we have all come to love, cherish, and forever remember. Panama is to us what Elvis was to rock and roll. No one can begin to scratch the surface of emotions that come as a result of having experienced Panama, and I don't even propose to try. All I need to say is: "You were there. You should know."
If all good things must end, it came too soon for me, and from the looks of things, 99.9% of all of you, too.

Hi to all fellow Zonians, espcially the Class of '79, the last Zonian class! Looking forward to our class reunion in, can you believe it, 1999!?! Signing in again to see what I can stir up.

Looking forward to the reunion in Orlando this year, but I wonder how many people I will remember.

Wish I could go down for the cayuco race. Those of you who do, remember to keep your hands inside the boat at all times. The 'gators (cayman, that is) have not been fed in awhile, and you know how they value the taste of a "Zonies" finger.
