It's amazing the people that bring you back to way back when. Wish I were still there, but as we grow, things change. I'm now in Little Rock, AR going to school to get my Bachelor's for Nursing. Work at the VA and hope someday to get back to an ocean. Debbie Thompson has been here for awhile, still same old Debbie. Went to the reunion this summer and had a blast. i have read all the e-mail on this site and i think it is just great that there are soooooooo many people out there that feel the way i do -- i talk to my friends here and they go to hi school reunions now and then but just don't seem to have the same feelings -- and definitely don't go as far back as i talk about -- usually i'm talking to my somewhat younger friends and associates at work -- i guess we all were and are very special people and valued our friendships and acquaintances and our good times in panama -- and i think they were all great -- i tell my sons about some of the crazy things i did while in hi school and they look at me and shake their heads -- no sure what the head shakes meant -- guess it was better than the reaction i got from my folks as i told them some of my adventures -- years later of course -- well again thanks matt -- if you remember me (or not) and want to chat -- e-mail me

I have spent way too much time going through this site -- but thanks Matt -- I have enjoyed this tremendously -- this has put a great ending to a terrible terrible 10 days -- i got back from vacation on july 1 -- hubby had spinal surgery on july 2 (doing fine) and on july 3 my grandson's mother took off and we just found out that they are in fla somewhere -- had to take my grandson to a medical clinic in cocoa ???? fla -- but now we just have to sit back and let the police do their job -- but i can tell you that my hair color has lightened up this week with all the grey in it now -- i wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy -- any way if you would all say a special prayer for the safe return of my grandson and his sister and brother it would be appreciated -- i am a '67 grad of bhs and my husband (mike peters) graduated in '66 -- wouldn't mind hearing from whoever would like to send me a few minutes of memories -- take care and bless you all

Wow, what a flashback! Saw grass, surf, tree swings, DDT trucks, empanadas, the Napoli and more... I am very glad to see some familiar names and the Zonie Spirit is still alive! We lived in Balboa and Corozal from 1959 through 68 and li ved in Corozal, three houses down from the "Crazy House" and across from the pool after it was built. Went to school at Los Rios and 7th grade at Curundu Jr. High when it was brand new. My dad taught Spanish, typing and off-the-wall craziness at Balboa Hi gh from 1959 through 1964 and at Canal Zone College from 1964 to 1968.
