Incredible web site, Please keep up the awesome work. The mind is flooded with memories of long gone days of fun and friends, just by looking at the entries, and then looking up the names in the yearbook to put a face with those names a gain leaves an undescribable yearning to return to the place that remains in my mind the most, The Canal Zone. Trying to explain to others what it was like to live there is hard to do, let alone give them just a little bit of insight to stuff like the slide, Hideaway beach, abandoned bunkers behind the housing areas, treks right out the back door into the Jungle, kobbe beach and on and on... I lived at 415-B Ft Kobbe from 1975 until 1979 and vividly recall most of what so many others also recall. To me it was the most cherished times of my life.

Looking for STEVEN CASTILLO, BHS class of '77, used to live in Farfan, had a horse named "Mapa" at Howard AFB Riding Club. Also looking for DEBBY COLLINS, who attended but did not graduate from BHS during 1971-1972 and 1972-1973 school years. Last known location/job was Ft Worth TX/air traffic controller. Also looking for the following folks who had horses at the Howard AFB Riding Club during 1971-1974: DIANE DEL TORO ("Plata"), PEGGY GOEBEL ("Shaquita"), DEBBIE WATTS ("Blaze"), MSGT BRYCE WILSON ("Candy" and "Trianero", who, BTW was a plug... :-)), LAURIE-ELLEN AND GEORGE BERRY ("Beacon Prince"), DARLA JO MAYFIELD ("Paco"), the OTTERS, the CARFORAS ("Sugarfoot"). I agree with Geoff, Ramey Air Base is reminiscent of the Canal Zone ! I should know, I've lived in Ramey for the past 3 years! Talk about deja-vu. We may even be getting some SouthCom people here soon. If you REALLY miss the Zone, the memories can be both a blessing and a curse!
