Even tho I graduated from CHS, and lived on the Atlantic side for many years, I first lived on the Pacific side, in Balboa Heights, and Gamboa...even in Panama City for a while! The passing of the Balboa Yacht Club brought me to tears...as did the tearing down of the Tivoli many, many years ago. I will always have them in my mind's eye...truly such warm, wonderful, memories! Would love to hear from LJ Christoph, Walt Kleefkins, and whoever else (?) might remember me...love this site, and check it often....such a sweet time, so many years ago...Terry

Hello!Everyone, Well, our CZ party turned out great! last sept. 98. We had about 80 people, which is what we had the first. Alot of surprises... I need to get some to scan pictures for me. The Geohagen Brothers was one of the long lost groups. Robert and wife and STEven and wife. Danny was suppose to come up from San Antonio. My brother show up to also celebrate his birthday! My mom and dad the Walkers showed with the Panama Costumes and were our greeters! It all turned out so great! We hope to have one every year here in Dallas! I found this beautiful place in the Coloney, Tx. it holds about 4000 people. I thought this would be great! everyone can then bring their families and we could have music and camp out of they want. Those who don't can spend the day and go to a hotel. I'm a booking agent here in Dallas. There is a guy who contacted me to book one of the bands I work with down there. I thought my sister was playing a cruel joke on me! He wants to book them at the Balboa theater. Would be the coolest! They are the BRIEFCASE BLUES (tribute to blues brothers). the theater is similar to one seen on first movie. I am going to suggest to plan around graduation and all the reunions so that hopefully we can all enjoy together. What better place then the theater where we all grew up? To all the zonian's out there, live your life to fullest,there will always be changes but what really counts is what YOU experienced living and being brought up in PANAMA, I thank my parents and my brothers and my sister for such a wonderful life indeed, May the Lord bless my parents always and my brother Ben and my niece lil tricia,andmy oldest sister who I never had the pleasure to meet because of yellow fever back when the canal was being built. But, those twenty years that I was raised here has taught me many valuable lessons in life,which have come in very handy here in the states One of those is respect for other people and the other is unity and love between families which is rare here in the states, not trying to offend anyone brought up here in the states but they lack alot of love here. onward ho------ hopefully I'll be able to go for this last SPLASH-BASH I'll know soon, or maybe I'll just get out on the road and stick my thumb out and catch a ride like I used to back home..rass...Brent

I was an Army Brat living in Quarry Heights from 1973 to 1977. I attended Clayton Elementary, Balboa Elementary, and Curundu Junior High. I remember riding at Albrook Stables, Camping at Camp Chagras (I still have the camp sweatshirt and T-Shirt...antiques!), bomb scares at CJHS, and spending the weekends on an island on Gatun lake!
