
Tom's Baked Beans
1 cans (16 oz.) pork and beans
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
3 slices bacon chopped and fried
2 tbs apple cider vinegar
1 tbs worcestershire
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Louisiana Hot Sauce
1/2 cups finely chopped onions
1 Jalapeno pepper (fresh)
1/2 tsp angostura bitters
1/4 tsp liquid smoke
Cook bacon until crisp, remove bacon from pan add sugar and vinegar and sautee for a minute or two. Sautee onion and Jalapeno pepper and put aside. Open the beans and drain off what juice you can drain off. Mix the bacon drippings and vinegar and sugar sauce with beans. Add the other ingredients. Bake in a pyrex or oven bowl for 45 minutes. Cool down for 10 minutes before serving. Don't worry, they will be hot enough.
