
Filling:
1 lb browned ground beef
¼ cup green pepper
¼ cup celery
¼ cup onion
3 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 tspn salt
pepper to taste
1 Jalapeño pepper
Filling Instructions:
1. Brown 1 lb of ground beef with Jalapeño slices. Mince celery, onion, and green pepper, and brown with garlic in an oiled skillet.
2. Add the browned ground beef to the skillet. Mix in one tablespoon of tomato paste, mixing until tomato paste is smooth. Add a dash of pepper a teaspoon of salt.
3. Drain oil off meat mixture. Remove jalapeño pepper slices from the meat mixture.
Crust:
1 lb butter
4 cups flour
2 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese
1 tspn salt
Crust Instructions:
Mix all crust ingredients together and refrigerate overnight. The day of use, roll out and cut in oval shapes. Fill with prepared meat filling and seal edges with a fork dipped with egg white. Bake at 400 degrees for ½ hour.
